Community Health Worker Training

CHW training curricula are developed with input from academic and community advisors.  CHWs receive ongoing training on a variety of topics to help build their capacity to reduce health disparities in the communities in which they work.

The curriculum will include the following elements:

  • Health Disparities
  • Health care systems
  • Health promotion
  • Communication skills
  • Community and health resources
  • Research skills
